another big win.

Briefly...
Cory Graffunder was involved in
an incident in the first turn where
he got caught up in a scrum of riders and got pushed out wide at the
exit. The factory Husqvarna rider
was able to overcome the poor
start to finish fifth. "I was midpack
on the start when I exited the turn,"
he said. "But the main thing I was
worried about was getting over
that first log, it would have sucked
to not get over that. I was behind
Ricky Dietrich for a few laps and by
the time I got around him and into
fifth, the front-runners had kind of
gapped us. I just couldn't close it up
and get in the mix with those guys.
After that I was kind of in no-man's
land. The guys in front of me were
leaving me and the guys behind me
were a straight away back."
The Barcelona edition of X Games
was held at the same venue as the
1992 Summer Olympics. The huge
(31,000 square meters) "village"
consisted of the indoor Palau
Sant Jordi Arena, where the Step
Up competition was held, and the
Olympic Stadium, where the Enduro X was held.

in Las Vegas. Proving the Vegas
win was no fluke, Brown parlayed
that momentum into X Games
Gold by winning the Barcelona X
Games Enduro X, leading all 10
laps of the main event in the process.
It was an impressive win for
sure, and it may have served notice that someone is finally ready
Regardless of that they say about
the rain in Spain, wet weather
wreaked havoc on the Barcelona
X Games, forcing the cancellation
of the Rally Cross and creating a
ton of headaches for the Enduro
X setup crew, who were faced
with a lake of water sitting on the
course when they arrived on Saturday morning. Luckily, the Enduro X
portion of the games was headed
by Eric Peronnard's experienced
crew, the same bunch who head
up the U.S. EnduroCross Series,
