could get him."
A disappointed Musquin was
fourth and Anderson was fifth.
Osborne recovered in the closing laps for sixth.
MyPlash Metal Mulisha Yamaha's Jeremy Martin grabbed
the start of the second moto with
Osborne, Tomac, Roczen and
Baggett in close pursuit.
Tomac moved into the lead
quickly and Roczen took a trip off
the track but maintained second.
His teammate Musquin would
also take an off-track adventure
shortly thereafter.
Tomac took advantage of Roczen's mistake by putting his head
down and sprinting away. By lap
five, he had already developed
a 12-second lead over Roczen.
By now the track was dry, rough
and dusty, and with a shorterthan-usual break between motos because of the live television
scheduling, it was obvious that
some were struggling with endurance in the thin air of Colorado's
high altitude.
Osborne was the surprise
P61
rider in this one. He held down
third for the entire race, stalking
Roczen and was close enough
to pounce when Roczen slowed
momentarily for a lapper on the
final go-around.
Tomac would take his first
moto win of the year some 20
seconds ahead of his teammate
Osborne, whose pass on Roczen also helped Tomac pull back
five points on his rival.

make something happen and I
felt like I was in the zone today,"
