LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
(Left) GP star Clement Desalle of
Belgium put in a strong showing.

former World champ Marvin Musquin
for third in the first moto but crashed
in the second.
going to cut it. It was a rough day,
but it's a long season. I made lots
of mistakes today and I have a lot
going on right now. Those guys
sprinted fast today and it just
wasn't my day."

Tomac said. "I got a good start
and got to the early lead in that
second moto and that is everything. Some days you wake up
on the right side of the bed and
you just click. I had the jitters at
Hangtown as it was the first race
and all, but I feel that I'm getting
better with age and experience
and I feel stronger. It was huge
for me that Zach passed Ken on
that last lap for some more points
for me. I was trying to watch them
too and could see he was catching him."
"It's only been a few minutes
and everyone is making a big
deal about this already," laughed
Roczen after finishing third in the
moto and second overall on the
day. "I'm not going to change my
program because of one moto.
I'm going to come back swinging. We only had 30 or 40 minutes break and had to go back
out. I went off the track once and
Zach got by me fair and square.
I will be fine and will get back to
my program this week."
Roczen added that he got a
little winded in the higher elevation, where Tomac is quite used
to the thin air.
With his second moto finish,
Osborne would capture third
overall. "The track was unreal
and I saw the fans cheering me
on, and I made the last-lap pass
on Roczen, and this was my best
moto finish ever," Osborne said.
"My fitness is good, but it was still
a tough day. I knew I had to pass
Roczen and get second to be on
the podium for the overall."
Musquin held on for fourth,
while Baggett - this time getting a
better start - kept plugging away
and would eventually pass Jeremy Martin in the closing laps for
fifth.
Musquin wasn't pleased with his
results. "Everyone is going fast and
a 4-4 is bad because I want to be
on the podium every week."
Despite dealing with an injured
wrist, Baggett made no excuses.
"I struggled today and went down
in moto one," he said. "A 9-5 isn't
