JANUARY 16, 1991
Jeff Ward was pictured on the cover of Cycle News 30 years ago for
winning the GFI 250cc Pro Invitation Supercross at Perris Raceway. For
winning, Ward walked away $5000 richer... Right up the road, Steve
Lamson and Willie Surratt starred at the CMC/NGK Golden State
Nationals at Glenn Helen Raceway... Across the country, the Florida Winter
AMA Series kicked off with Ronnie
Tichenor and Ryan Hughes coming
away with the big wins... We also had
coverage of Tichenor's win at the
Florida Invitational MX at Ocala.

JANUARY 10, 2001
Our 2001 Supercross Preview got things started in 2001, and pictured
on the cover was Jeremy McGrath who we chatted with about the
upcoming season... We covered the first session of the Dunlop
Daytona Tire Test, and Mat Mladin got things started by having the
quickest lap time... We rode the 2001 Suzuki GSX-R1000 at Road
Atlanta, where Suzuki introduced the bike to the media... We also
tested the 2001 Yamaha YZF-R6.
