Webb, who was hoping to give
Sherco its first AMA EnduroCross
Championship, finished out the
season with second place (2-1-2) in
Tuesday's race and second place in
the championship. But it was close.
Webb ended up just one point ahead
of Hart, who won the last moto of
the year, in the championship. Webb
said they are still working on bike
setup but was happy to get at least
second in the championship.
"That final moto was a little finicky
and I didn't totally trust Haaker in the
beginning," said Webb who needed
to stay close to Hart in the last moto
of the year. "I think I rode a little too
soft in the beginning because I didn't
want to risk second in the champi-
onship. Then I charged and reeled
Trystan in and he made a mistake at
the end, so I threw a Hail Mary at the
finish there to try to make a pass. We
