got back up and charged after
Tanke and was making up sig-
nificant ground on the Beta rider
after every lap, until Turner got
to within approximately 10 bike
lengths of Tanke with a couple
of laps left. That's when Turner's
charge seemed to fizzle.
Tanke, who hardly put a foot
wrong the whole race, held on
to take the exciting win by a
few seconds over Shelby, and
Sherco rider Louise Forsley.

In the Women's class, Shelby
Turner was going for the perfect
season heading into the final
race of the season, Tuesday,
but Beta's Morgan Tanke ended
up being the spoiler. Turner fell
early in the race while pursuing
holeshotter Tanke, which gave
Tanke plenty of breathing room

There was another breakout
rider this season, KTM-mounted
Cooper Abbott. Although he
didn't get a moto or overall win
this season and wasn't quite on
the same level as Haaker, Webb
or Hart, he did show that he's
certainly heading in that direc-
tion. Abbott finished out the
2020 Championship in fourth
place, 25 points in back of Hart
and another 15 points ahead
