(Yamaha) earned a trip to the
podium with a 6-2.
Vialle is still in control when it
comes to the MX2 Champion-
ship. The Frenchman enjoys a
comfortable 30-point lead over
Belgian Jago Geerts (Yamaha),
who struggled with crashes and
mistakes on the day, 386-356.
Maxime Renaux (Yamaha) is
third in the championship with 295.
Olsen is sixth.
The MXGP of Lombardia is the
first of three straight races at the
Mantova Circuit. The next race
takes place Wednesday, Septem-
ber 30, and the following race

Jasikonis Injured

MXGP's Arminas Jasikonis was
taken to a hospital after crashing in the
second moto at the MXGP of Lombar-
dia in Mantova, Italy, September 27.
According to a release from the
team, Arminas was diagnosed as
having a traumatic brain injury. Team
Manager Antti Pyrhonen, said, "This is
a very serious situation for Arminas and
a very difficult time for his family and all
involved in the team. After AJ was flown
to hospital on Sunday night, he was
placed in a medically induced coma
because of the trauma he suffered to
his brain. Really, there is not much else
to say at this time—this is the situation,
a situation that is very serious and dif-
ficult for everyone, and now we have to
wait and stay positive. He has the best
medical care around him, and we are in
close contact with both the specialists
at the hospital here in Italy but also in
Innsbruck, Austria. Thank you to every-
one who has expressed their concerns
and wishes AJ all the best."
Before the injury, the Lithuanian
was in championship contention in the
