As the laps wound down. Hughes reeled Noble in, an d he was looking fo r a last-l ap upset. but he ca m e up a tad sho rt as both riders hit th e finish-line tab letop at full throttle. Co nd iti ons were so bad that all the Mi ni riders were forced to sit ou t the day . and the big-bike riders would cove r only one of the 50 -mile loops.
