in the t 25cc B eg inner and Novice classes,
respectivel y, du rin g Cal ifomia Racing Club' s
Sunda y motocro ss, held at Los Angeles Coun ty Raceway .
Rein a put in a flawless rid e during the first
125cc Beg inner rnoto , abs conding with the
holeshot and then putting thr ee seconds per
lap on the field for a dominating win . Kasey
Morris ov ertook Charles Pric e for seco nd on
th e o pen ing lap. and the y sta yed in those
pos itions to finish ahead of Brett Mountain.
Round two was a duplicate of the first, wit h
Reina gra bbi ng th e ear ly lead over Price and
Morris . Reina o nce again d isap peared for a
sweep of the class. Price , Morris and Mou nta in
mixed it up over second p la ce , wi th Mo rr is
prevaili ng fo r the second -pla c e trophy over
Mou nta in.
CR 125 ·mounted Neil Chisholm led th e first
125cc Nov ice moto for a lap before coming
under fir e fro m Delu cia, who finally fou nd a
way around Chis holm on lap th ree and slow ly
pulled away for the vic tory . Br ia n Kranz and
Ri cha rd Eubanks argued ove r th ird until
E ub a nks went down at the m idwa y point.
Kra nz continued on for thi rd , be hind
Chisholm .
Eu ban k s led th e field early in mota two
until Kranz and Delu ci a got by. Chisholm and
Delucia tra ded second pl ace back and forth,
with Delu cia ev ent u ally ge tti ng t h e upper
hand . Delucia re eled in Kranz and k ept the
th rottle o n a little lon ger coming down off the
ove r-e nd -under sect ion to m ove into the lead .
Delucia too k the win by a couple of seconds
o v er Ch i sh olm . wh o had pa ssed K ranz .
Eubanks and Mike Brewer round ed out the top
five .
Paul Nelson and Tony Discuillo each took
a t u rn leading the first Vet Beg inner moto
before Assa f Alush took control on lap three
and continued o n for t he win. Will Lub in
cli mbed his way up to fi nis h seco nd, over Dis cuill o and Nelson.

two to eventually battl e over the lead with Dis cuillo and wi n th e m ot a and th e flr st -p lece tro phy on a 2·1 day . Alush's 1-3 tall y edged out
the 3 -2 score of Discuill o for second overall.
