in - he went wire to wire twice, dominating the 125cc Pro class at the fifth round of the
GFI Fall Series North In Turlock, Ca lifornia.

pa ss ov er th e big ta bleto p and nearly
tangled with Blai r in m ida ir, as Bla ir
had whipped his rea r wheel righ t into
h is flig h t p ath . Aft er the la n di n g ,
Lau ghridg e t u c k e d insi de o n t he
ensuin g r ig ht -hande r a nd it was a
d rag ra c e to th e c h e c ke rs, with the
nod goi ng to La ugh rid ge , who too k
th e runner-up s pot on the da y via a
3-2 score. Bla ir took third on the da y
with a 2-3 po stin g .
In the 125cc Inter med iate ra nks , it
was on ce again a battle betwee n Eric
Ny e an d Ma t t McC ru mm en . Wh ile
both ride rs sh owed a wesom e speed ,
th ing s went Nye 's way; he posted a
solid I - I score after getting two good
starts. McCrummen suffered a horrible start in moto one but still m an aged to reel in Nye near the end and
finish ed just seconds beh ind at the
checkers. Moto two was a repeat per formance for McC rummen; Nye was
again out front early and McCrum men had to play ca tch -up , but sec ond wa s all he could muster.

chalked up a I -I score . Davis barely
ke pt a pers istent Da n ie l Blair behind
him in moto one, but in moto two he
ga pped Blair enoug h to take a more
c o m fo rta b le win . While it a p peared
that Da vis had turned it up a notch in
m o t o tw o , th e O 'N e al /Torco / Sun star/One Indu s trie s -ba c ked rider s a id
he actua lly did th e o pposite .
"In t h e se c o n d moto, I t ook m y
t ime and c hose m y line s a litt le mor e
carefully," Dav is s a id. "I jus t got over
be ing s ick and had to c onserve m y
energy. It worked o ut good , bec ause I
was m is s ing all the big bumps and
not losing tim e ."
