With· in a lap , Mci nto sh wa s running out front . with Mehterian a few seconds ahead of Westmoreland , in th ird . Th e m oto belo nged to Mci ntosh, as he pull ed well cle ar of M ehter ian fo r the win . Third went to Westmoreland, with Robbi e Gilbert holding off Bon nie Kell y at the lin e for fou rth . On ce Hick s got the lead , the re was little the others could do to displace him on the well worn g roove. Hicks took th e che ckered flag for his first win of the sea son , Ba st stayed clo se in the run ner -up spo t, third went to J an niro and fourt h to Hedde n. In th e Scratch main, form er Junior Cham pion Ryan Fisher drew the pole and sat inside of Bast in la ne two , Janni ro in three and Hedden agai nst the c rash wall in four. Hedden drew a breath and tim ed th e starte r perfectly . j um p ing out cle ar of the pa ck and untouc hed through the fi rst tums. Fisher and Bast qeted dead even and , due to his inside starting spo t. Fi sher hel d second pla ce , jus t ahead of Bast, who applied heavy pr essur e. Janniro was a bit slow off the lin e: he tr ied to make up some spots on the outsi de and ended up in the dust on lap on e. Ja nn iro got up and rejo ined the chase, but it was far too late, as Hedd en was hoo ked up and gone on the blue groov e.
