In th e end, Neff's co nsistent ri di ng proved to be the edg e he needed for his first overall victory in 2000. His con sistency throughout t he year is ke ep ing h im in contention for another Grand Championship as well. White and Tan ner each earned their best fini sh of the year at second a nd t hi rd overall , respectively . Cayer kept him self in co ntention , riding to third AA and fourth overall with a nine-poin t score. Seaver took the win o n Sunday , ah ead of Glen Chris tianson , t o g o w ith a s econd -p lace fini sh on Saturday , behind Christian son' s Yamaha 200. Steinbeck picked up fo urt h place o n Sunday , bettering his fifth -place finish of the day before. With some ve ry crafty racing, Seaver led Christianson until lap fi ve; then he had to wa it for th e fi nal lap to recla im the lead and take th e win .
