Kratz , Ca rsten an d Walla ce were a ll doin g th e s pec ta tor tri p le , while S tra tto n wasn't , which allowed them to close the ga p on th e leader e ve n more . Carsten made a b lock -pa ss on Kratz on the last lap in the corn er follo wing the huge step -up ; they bum ped , and Kra tz we nt down . Carsten mo ved up to second. Wallace was third , Yentzer fourth a nd Damien Plotts fifth . Kratz remounted in a round 10th place. S tratton took the moto win, tra iled by Cars ten , Wallace , Yen tzer and Plotts . Kra tz again ma naged to get t h e be st jump off the gat e in th e second moto. Stratton , Wa llace, Ca rsten a nd Plotts followed. Ca rs ten pa ssed Wal lace for t h ird halfway throu gh lap on e . Kra tz starte d t h e se co nd lap by tr ipl ing fo r the cro wd . S tr atton co uldn' t get the run he needed to do the trip le a nd Carste n d id, mo ving up to second . The top five were spread wa y o ut by lap four. Carsten closed the ga p on Kratz to four seconds by lap s even but couldn't get an y clo ser. After experie nci ng some b a d luck in the first m oto , Kra tz took a m u c h -d e serve d moto win, fo llow ed by Carsten , Wal la c e , Stratton a nd Plotts . Cars t e n 's 2-2 sc or e was good enoug h to ea rn him th e to p tie r of the p od ium . Rou nd in g o ut t h e 250 cc Open A class podium were Stratton and Wallace. Edd ie Ho lo lob led the pack of 16 riders through the gO-degree left-hand first turn in the first 250cc Open B moto , tra ile d by Toma s Barton , Matt Hibbard , Chr is Mur ray and Kevin Krueger. When the leaders rea ched the small step-up double in the back of the racecou rse , Ho lolob re m a ine d in the point position and ha d already opened up a conside rable lead of II seconds. Rounding o ut the top five were Toby Baldauf, Murra y, Hibba rd and Kruege r. At the end of the first lap , the top four rem a in ed un c h ang ed , while J a s o n Ba be m itch moved up to fifth. When th e top five c a m e to th e back of the track halfwa y through lap one , Hololo b ha d the po int posi tio n, with Tuerck and Murra y movi ng up to second and th ird , while Babernitch dropped to fourth and Jackson held on to fifth. Cla y Cambell made a pass o n Ja ckson for fifth around the start of lap two. The to p five were spread out by the end of la p two , Holo lo b took the checkered flag for the moto win and the overall , followed by Tuerck , Mu rray , Bab ern it c h a nd Ca m bell.
