On a hot and humid day in Ohio . where the outco me was basically decided in the last few miles. Blackwell dropped 5 1 points to Lafferty's 54. Third overall went to P a t Garrahan (K TM) . followed by Ri c h Lafferty (KTM). Craig Holesak (Hus). David Lykke (Yam) and Gene Onail (Kaw) , Yamaha's Randy Hawkins. w ho has tw o w ins this year. suffe red a DNF with a mechani cal failure. Spud Walters (Yam) won the Westem Four-Stroke National Serie s round at the Hungry Valley ORV Park in Go rman, California, on June 11. Dustin Nelson (Yam) finished second and Rich Taylor (Suz) was t hird. As you can see in the photos, several riders, including Doug Chandler, Miguel DuHamel, Scott Russell and Aaron Yates, all stood a chance at runn ing over Rapp. That he walked away and actually restarted the race probably qUalifies.as a bona fide miracle.
