Los Angeles County Raceway: Ron Hall (991) won both the 80cc (12-13) and Supermini classes in Palmdale, California. able to shake him. either, and the duo battled down to the wire, with Delarge prevailing. Estes was third, a safe distance ahead of Afshar and Michael Penta. The second-moto start belonged to Honda of Santa Barbara's CR250 rider Delarge. Stoffer held down fourth, and he would have to find a way around both Tim Hickerson and Estes to make a charge at Delarge. By the halfway point. Stoffer was up into second place, but Delarge had too much of a lead to ~~87k (Presents) H.I'-~~ldJF=~HI::::J'GiiII - ::- AS . u • • · . n o ... · ..... o t o · x e e 8 e 2 e e 3 e 0 PARTICIPATING DEALERS overcome and continued on uncontested for the win. Estes passed Hickerson to go 3-3 on the day. Delarge was untouchable in the opening Senior Expert moto, going wire to wire for the win over Tracy Oswell and Steve Williams. Former SoCal Pro Oswell made things a little more interesting by jumping out to the early second-mota lead and holding off Delarge for the first half of the race. Delarge eventually made the pass, with Oswell sticking with him for a close second. Williams went 3-3 on his new KX250 for third, over Jack Miller and George Jimenez. Ricky Parks and Hall were pretty evenly matched out on the track in the 80cc (12-13) class, with the deciding factor being the start. Parks got the first-mota start and kept Halt at bay for the win. In round two. things were reversed. with Hall getting the much-needed start and prevailing for the overall with a 2-1 score. Brett Mountain and Sterling Zepeda finished third and fourth, respectively, in both races. Hall and his Race Tech/Smith/PJ1-backed Kawasaki cleaned up in the Supermini races over the 3-2 of Mountain and 2-3 of Steve Colson.
