Barona Speedway: In Ramona, California, Dave Adams (53) leads Sal Peluso (6R), Steve Gorby (17E) and Rob Reed (n) in the Bomber contest. . Dwyer, Keith Lynas, on the Motoworld Ossa, and Rob Reed had a battle of their own going for the top spot in the Knobby class. Lurcook missed a corner, handing the lead back to Dwyer. and Lynas and Reed fell in behind. Bruce Reynolds took the top spot in the 250s, followed by Gabe Slatton. Dave Adams took off ahead of the Bomber race on his Lemon Grove Yamaha, with Peluso, Steve Gorby and Rob Reed in tow. Peluso took the lead away coming out of tum two and began to build a lead on the rest of the field. Gorby ran in outside of Adams going into tum one to take the second spot, holding on for two laps when he slipped off the groove and into the marbles in turn two, letting Adams close the gap.
