Stefy Bau edged Angie Keuntjes by a knobby for the holeshot, but Keuntjes immediately took over the lead, At the end of lap one, Patterson passed Bau for second and set her sights on the leader, Keuntjes. Bau hit neutral, cased a double and lost some time. Patterson was all over Keuntjes for the lead.
