cross and speed show held on the grounds of the Pennsylvdnia State Farm Show Arena in Harrisburg. Hosted by Trai:-Way Speedway, this year's races were sponsored by the Suzuki Motor Corporation and the Eastern Pennsylvania Suzuki Dealers. Since 1990, Price has won all but one of the 250cc A (or 250cc Pro) finals. and counting this year (the 22nd annual Motorama), he has scored a double with the 600cc A or Pro in six of those events. This year, he also added a Formula 500 (for Yamaha TT 500s and air-cooled two-strokes) win to his ever-growing resume. Not to be outdone, his uncle, Bob Sweeten, has dominated the Over 30 class in the same period, losing only once, and several times he took the 250cc and 600cc A finals when Georgie was competing in the Pro division. In the Pro classes, Kevin Varnes took the 250cc group again, while Ricky Winsett took the always-competitive 600cc class for his first win here since a 125cc B win nearly 20 years ago. Amateur winners included John Lewis V in the 85cc (7 - 11) class, and Joey Avery, who came from behind for the 85cc (12- 15) win. The 125cc, 250cc and 600cc wins went to riders with a few years on them. Joe Dohm used his experience and the torque of his Honda XR 100based machine to take the 125cc C win. James Way made his holeshot hold up, keeping a faster Shawn Baer at bay, and John Bower took the 600cc victory. In the little-guy contests, Tyler Odendahl took the 50cc Oil-Injected (4-6) class, while Frank Lettieri led the 50cc (7-8) group across the line. The Meiterman brothers took the other 50cc classes, with Mark topping the 50cc (4-6) field and Michael taking the 50cc (7-8) class. Matthew Weidman survived a late-race restart to take the 65cc class. Joey Zydinsky, riding Varnes' machine, took the 250cc A lead over Price, Sweeten and Corey Hormes. For several laps, Price tried to intimidate Zydinsky, to no avail. But as they exited the fourth turn on lap five. Zydinsky drifted slightly high, giving Price all the room he needed to get his wheel under him as they hit the first turn. Zydinsky held his ground and finished a close second to Price. The 600cc A contest was largely a processional race, as the Metro Racing Apparel/Arai/Goodfellows Cyclessponsored duo of Price and Sweeten held the first two spots, over Ace Phillips and Joe Bromley. In the 250cc Pro final, Varnes led Tom McGrane Jr., Don Mullen and Ken Yoder into the third turn. While Varnes put some distance on the pack, Yoder was working his way to the front of it, taking second as they hit the third turn on lap three. Mullen also got by McGrane in Yoder's slipstream.
