once again belongs to Kawasaki. For the new millennium, we gave the machine that
invented the 600 sportbike class radically better performance from a special lightweight
crankshaft, stronger connecting rod~ and valves, new closed-deck electroplated cylinders,
revised cam timing, insane 12.8; I-bigh conlpression ratio, new pistons and a remapped
digital ignition. And for sharper aerodynamics and a more mdical look, we leaned on our
awesome new ZX-12R for a new upper fairing cowl and headlight, and an improved Twin
Ram Air system to increase breathing efficiency at speed. When Sp rt Rider' slated tbat last
year's ZX-6R "SPOftS a monster mOtor thaI yanks off corner exitS like a scalded feline," tbey
were not talking about housecats. Tbis year, they'd better make that a Siberian tiger.
