The Kawasaki-mounted Oklahoman won the coveted Pro Circuit Platinum Pipe Award, which goes to the top overall-scoring rider from all divisions, in both Supercross and Motocross competition, and the Scott Golden Goggle Award, which goes to the top-scoring rider in the Amateur Divisions. Canard claimed individual titles in the 125cc B Stock, 250cc B Stock and 250cc B Modified Motocross class and in the 250cc B Modified Supercross class. If that wasn't enough, Canard's mechanic, Brent Presnell, won the Mechanix Wear Award, given to the mechanic who displays outstanding mechanical skills and sportsmanship. The Fox Bronze Boot, which is given to the top-scoring rider in the Youth Divisions, went to Jessy Nelson. Nelson collected titles in the 6Scc (I 0-1 I) Stock SX, 65cc (10-11) Modified 5X and 65cc (10-11) Modified MX divisions. Xtreme Team Green Kawasaki's Matt Boni won the Dunlop Silver Tire Award for accumulating the highest number of Olympics points. Boni took overall wins in the 250-S00cc A Expert Modified MX, 12Scc A Expert Modified SX and 250500cc A Expert Modified 5X classes. Olympiad awards went to Matt Boni (25Occ A), Myles Tedder (125cc C). Nico Ini (125cc 12-15), Cooper Webb (65cc 7-9), Jessy Nelson (6Scc 10-11), Terren Odell (B5cc 12-13), Trey Canard (2SOcc B), Tyler Sjoberg (8Scc 14-15), Bryce Stewart (85cc 7-1 I) and Broc Tickle (I 25cc A). All proceeds from the auction were to be donated to Haskovec to assist him with his recovery. Chris Ulrich from Rood IlDcing World provided rides on a specially built two-seat AHA Superbike with a minimum donation of $25 for a warmup lap and two hot laps around California Speedway. The 2005 CMRA Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, December 17 at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, with the club set to hold a silent auction at the banquet. Banquet guests will bid on donated produet5 and services, and the highest bidder takes home the prize. All proceeds from the auction will go to the CMRA Safety Fund, which helps pay for Airfence and other safety-related equipment for CMRA race events. MX Sports has announced the schedule for the 2006 Area Qualifiers, the first qualifying rounds for the 2006 AHA Amateur National Championships at Loretta Lynn's. Area Qualiflers begin the weekend of February 26-27, and conclude the weekend of May 27-28. "An Area Qualifier is the first step to an AHA National Championship at Loretta Lynn's, so we take great pride in selecting only the best facilities to hold these events," says MX Sports director Tom Cotter. "These races are designed to offer a fair qualification format for riders in all areas of the country." Riders who qualify through their area eam a spot at a Regional Championship, which seeds riders into the National at Loretta Lynn's Ranch. The 25th Anniversary AHA Amateur National Motocross Championships at Loretta Lynn's begin Monday, July 31, with motos beginning Tuesday, August I and concluding on Saturday, August 6. Inflnoeon Raceway donated rlearly 2000 pounds of non-perishable food items to Friends in Sonoma Helping (FISH) following the facility'S fifth annual Thanksgiving Food Drive. The amount marked one of the largest single donations FISH will receive this holiday season. The donation was raised with the help of partners Destination RKA In Windsor, Froggy 92.9 FM (Santa Rosa) and 10 Northern California Mary's Pizza Shack locations.
