hot pursuit. In what proved to be a harbinger of things to come, Barriele promptly took the lead back on the next lap. The two fire-engine-red machines continued to swap the lead until the very end, with Barriele capturing the top position as the checkers new. Moto two was a mirror image of moto one for Barriele and Clausen. Once again, the two rocketed onto the course in a virtual tie. Clausen led the pack past the scoring tower on lap one. Lap two was Barriele's turn in the top spot. An unfortunate mishap near the end of lap two saw Barriele's chance for the overall end as he dropped to fourth place in the race. With Barriele no longer a threat, Clausen proceeded to control the remaining laps. A late-race threat by Hondamounted Tim UndewaJI was the only thing preventing Clausen from running away from the rest of the class. At the finish, Clausen had wrapped up the overall. Undewall secured second overall with third- and second-place finishes, with Barriele salvaging a third-place podium finish. RESULTS MINI A: I. Nitro Johnson. MINI B: I. Damien Crum; 2. As starter Don Gossett got the dead-engine start under way, it was Matthew Tribbey getting to the first turn first, ahead of Fajardo, Kyle Butler and Derek Brandon. Fajardo inherited the lead on the opening lap when Tribbey bobbled his way back to fourth, behind Daniel Jennings and Brandon. Tribbey recovered nicely to repass Fajardo for the lead by lap three. Once out front again, Tribbey was putting five seconds per lap on the field aboard his Axo/Hot Shot Films-backed KTM.
