Zongshen Preparing For MotoGP Even more so than new Benelli marque owner Qianjiang, Zongshen (Qianjiang's biggest Chinese rival) has already established itsell more firmly on the world stage, not only though its links with Piaggio (Zongshen holds ""-percent equity in Piaggio's Chinese operation based at Foshan, and the two companies are currently undertaking several joint ventures, fronted by the development of the Shuni scooter launched in june this year), but also via its participation in top-level endurance racing via the Zongshen factory race team based in France. From its debut in the 1999 Bol d'Or, team manager Michel Marqueton succeeded in taking Team Zongshen right to the top of the tree, winning the World Endurance title in 2002 with self-prepared Suzuki GSX-RI 000 machinery, with which it transferred to the World Superbike series in 2O
