sun sets earlier and the temperatures are lower as Georgia falls into autumn. Wet and plow, plow and wet: The track
crew was on the pipe, and the surface took shape just before the
start of practice. Save me a seat and I'll get the camera.
KTM rider Donald Brown came down from Tennessee and
took the win in both 50cc (7-8) motos for the overall. Brady
Moreland, also KTM-mounted, had to settle for second overall.
Alex Newberry took the final podium position and completed
the KTM sweep.
The SOcc Open event saw Moreland take his usual position
on the podium - the top step. Austin Clark, on his Gwinette
Nissan Cobra, had control o( second place with a good ride.
Bryston Ivey used his KTM to capture the final podium position.
When the 65ce (7-9) gate fell, Brown bested the local riders
(or the overall victory. His (ellow KTM rider David Ninari took
second overall. Jacob Seagraves took the final podium poSition
on his Amsoil Suzuki to prevent another KTM sweep.
Kawasaki jockey Josh Faires was on the pipe with a pair o(
moto wins to secure the overall 6Scc (J 0-1 I) win. Suzuki man
Chris Hughes had his throttle pinned to capture second overall.
Another Kawasaki rider, Justin Mullins, had the final podium
spot covered with a solid effort.
The 80cc Beginner class always has a good turnout.
Kawasaki man Cody Kirkland put together a pair o( wins to
secure the top podium spot. Matt Eatmon, on his Moto Sports
Honda, took the second podium step with a consistent ride.
Brandon Massey, on his Medallist Gol( KTM, scored the final
podium spot with a final moto push.
Canadian rider David Buller took both 85cc (12-15) moto
wins on his Honda with no worries. Suzuki rider Christian Snow
had a good shOWing (or second overall. Honda-mounted Matt
Eatmon took third overall.
The Youth class was a good one. Suzuki-mounted Matthew
Bell was up to the task, winning both motos. Buller used a pair
of third-place finishes to score the second podium spot.
Timothy Mullins took third on his Yamaha with a good ride.
The 125cc Beginner class was the Tyler Elliott show, as he
nabbed dual victories on his Yamaha. Suzuki jockey Chase Holt
used a second-moto push to earn the runner-up spot on the
podium. Yamaha rider Jacob Brookshire was steady and earned
the final podium spot.
The 12Scc C class has become quite a hot contest this year.
On this day, it was Suzuki-mounted Matthew Timm taking the
overall win. Justin Morris, on his Pro Circuit Kawasaki, took
second overall. Timothy Mullins had to push it in the last moto,
but his Yamaha came through (or third overall.
Cooler weather makes for some hot racing. See you next week.
