Wagoner took his Lakeside Ford/Great River Honda into the lead early in the second moto, with Corey and Childers snapping at his heels. You could have thrown a blanket over all three throughout the first lap. While Corey was setting up Wagoner for a pass, Childers flew by both of them and into the lead. By the end of lap two, Corey made the move into second and set about pursuing Childers. At the checkered flag, Childers kept the Romero brothers behind him, followed by Shawn Gunderson and a "heel-clicking" Tyler Hancock. Another rider who struck like lightning was Aaron Sanchez from Greenwell Springs, Louisiana. Right off the gate, Sanchez put his Race Tech KTM in front of [he combined 65cc (6-8) and (9-1 I) classes permanently. 8ehind him, Shaw Guillotte led the younger class on his Swithin' Gear-backed KTM. Sanchez and Guillotte repeated their wins in the second moto. One of the most competitive classes of the night was the I25cc/250cc Open class, which Dustin Domingue led from beginning to... well, almost to the end on his Bardwell Yamaha. Tee Hebert suffered a bad start and had to work his way up until he caught his buddy on the las[ lap with a hard push on the sweeping turn. Domingue went down in the ensuing high. banked turn, allowing Hebert to take another win. Domingue got back up in time to salvage second, followed by local riders Ryan Breaux and Mike Hebert. Domingue and Tee swapped the lead a half dozen times in the second moto before Tee finally pulled away to another victory.
