that lap, with Ammons making the pass as well to take over the second spot. The three riders were close the entire lap. but as lap three started, the two riders in the front started pulling away from third place while battling for the win. They were able to put in consistent lap times, and Hernandez was able to maintain the lead until the checkers flew, followed by Ammons and McFadden in second and third, respectively. The second moto saw Mcfadden make another charge to the front on his RM2S0, pulling a lead right out of the first corner. In second was Tyler Sandow, with Hernandez and Ammons a few riders back. McFadden continued to maintain a lead on that first lap, but Ammons and Hernandez were making a charge to the front. At the end of the first lap, they had caught up to second place and were poised to make the pass. First Ammons passed Sandow, and then Hernandez followed suit shortly after. Ammons kept the throttle on and had Mcfadden in his sights. He cut the gap down, and on the third lap he got around McFadden. The first two riders were then able to put a gap on the third-placed rider as the moto wound down, with Ammons taking the mota win, followed by McFadden and Hernandez. Ammons took the overall, barely nudging Hernandez into second overall, with McFadden taking the third spot for the day. The 28-35 Novice class saw three riders with consistent finishes take the top three overall spots. Yamaha rider Patrick Lopez put in two commanding wins to take a convincing overall victory. Early in both motos, however, he battled with VMCbacked Suzuki rider Josh Brewer in the opening laps, with Brewer holding him off until mid race in the second mota, but he was unable to make it stick. Brewer went 2-2 for second overall. eN Yamaha rider Scott Coleman (3-3) was third overall. RESULTS MINI BEG: t. HOllen Holt; 2. Austin Hamey; J. Aaron Cisneros; 1. George Martinez; 5. Ryan HIldreth.
