The Mid-Size Production event was up next. Trevor Vines is
the only rider in the series who remains undefeated. He took
the win easily in mote one, defeating Josh Powell and David
Britten. Moto two was a different story, though. Once again,
Vines took the early lead, but this time Powell hung with him.
Toward the end of the race, Powell was actually making up
some ground on the first factory free-seyler. In the end, though,
it just wasn't meant to be for Powell: Vines won, Powell took
second, and Britten finished third. With identical moto finishes,
that's also how the overall results played out.
P.J. Dylewski has proved time and again that he is the man to
beat in the Clutch class. Up until now, he has onty suffered one
defeat, and that was at the hands of Brian George at round
three. With his homefield advantage, no one was betting against
Dylewski. and that was a good thing. like a broken record. the
winner was, yes, once again - P.J. Dylewski, who swept both
motos. Behind him, though. the runner-up position went to a
different name than usual, as Matt Soety took second overall
aboard his Yamaha TTR 125. Rounding out the podium was
George. Normally. George plays second fiddle to Dylewski. but
some bad luck in the second moto found him battling for a fifthplace position.
Round six will be held on July 23, as the series takes another
field trip. this time to Street Track and Trail in Conneaut Lake.
Pennsylvania.
