When the SOcc Beginner class left the gate, it was Honda
jockey Justin Hendrix taking the overall with a great ride.
Nathaniel Clark, also on a Honda, scored the second podium
position. Anthony Moore placed third overall to make it an allHonda podium.
The 65cc Beginners came off the line like Pro riders! Suzuki
man Trey Crossley took the overall victory. Cody West used his
Kawasaki to earn the second podium spot and to prevent a
possible Suzuki sweep of the class, as Joey Moore kept the
throttle pinned on his Suzuki to gain the final podium step.
The SScc Beginner gate fell, and one of the largest classes
made the first tum a busy place. Quin Watson took control and
scored the overall win on his fast Suzuki. KTM pilot J.W. King used
his fast machine to score second overall with a good ride. Blake
Grimsley, on another fast Suzuki, earned the final podium poSition.
The 8Scc Open class was ,he property of Michael Alford and
his screaming Yamaha. Zachary Leverette gained the secondoverall award with his lighting-quick Kawasaki. Zack Carlisle put
in a solid ride on his Suzuki to make the final podium spot his.
In the 12Scc C class, Suzuki's Nathan Collins scored the
overall win with no problems. Michael Brown used his wellprepped Yamaha to capture the runner-up position with a good
ride_ Brandon Middlebrooks kept his head down and put his
Kawasaki on the final podium position with a solid ride.
The l2Scc B class was the fast class. Honda rider Bubba
Crosby came from behind to take the overall win and the
largest trophy. Keegan Byrd, also on a Honda, led Crosby for a
while but fell behind after a great battle.
The Vet Amateur contest was a Honda-dominated event,
with Derrell Mullis taking the overall and Kevin Brule capturing
the second-overall honors. Scott Rapp took the final podium
spot with a good ride.
The Vet Novice class is Bill Blair's territory. He used his fast
Suzuki to keep it that way this evening. Sam Marshall of
Marshall Motorsport used his Honda to score second overall
with a solid ride. Kevin Harkins of Ga-MXracing.com took the
third-place honors on his great-running Yamaha.
The Advanced "Spade" contest was a good one, with
"Fireball" Mullis doing the deal on his Yamaha for the overall
win. Chris Derrington, also on a Yamaha, placed second overall
when Mullis didn', fall. John Bellwin and his Honda sewed up
third overall with a good ride.
