California Motocross Sarona Oaks Raceway Beatty, Musick Noteworthy at Barona By HOMER EUBANKS RAMONA, CA, JUNE 5 \ A /hen the dust settled at Barona Oaks, "The Home of Beatty and V V Champions," the big class winners were Tim Jack Musick. Also making their mark on the day were Bryce Vallee, Chris Cuero and Dylan Gillespie, who each took home !.OC4S OD!. trophies in two different classes. Beatty went home a multiple-class winner but had little ~IiO~~ competition on the day. Justin Herrmann kept Beatty honest in the 125cc Pro class, but Beatty was able to take the checkers first in both races. Beatty then came back and took the overaJl honors in the 250cc Pro and Over 2S classes. Musick had a busier day. as he had to battle Kris Armbrister in both 250cc Intermediate motos. Armbrister got out early in the first moto, and Musick couldn't match his pace. However, Musick put things together in the second moto to take the overall. Musick duplicated his performance in the 12Scc Intermediate class, only this time the other rider was David Kenlon III. Taking wins in the Supermini and 85cc Intermediate classes was none other than Bryce Vallee, who took repeat wins in the Supermini class, first winning over Austin Tessitore and then Adrian Roman. Tessitore went 2-3 on the day for second overall, and Roman finished fifth with a 9-2 effort. Tessitore later won the 8Scc Open with repeat wins, and Roman took second with his 4-2 results. Cuero had a good day at Sarona, as he took home wins in the 65ce (9-11) and 85ce (7-11) classes. The 85cc class had nine riders entered, but Cuero was able to take repeat wins in both motos. Eddie Bustin went 2-2 on the day for second overall. Cuero duplicated his effort in the 6Scc class, with Starr Savage crossing over second in both motos. Gillespie had to work for his win in the 6Scc (0-8) division. James Smith took the first-moto win, but Gillespie was able to swap positions with him in the following moto. Ryan Surratt went 3-3 on the day. In the Super Pee Wee race, Gillespie took both moto wins. Surratt crossed over second in moto one but dropped behind Zachary Norton in the following race, placing third on the day. Austin Anderson won the Pee Wee (7-8) Stock class, which had J 6 riders competing. Matthew Poindexter was second with a 3-2 showing, over Dylan Zachry's 4-3 results. RESULTS PIW (0-8) FfT SHAFT: I.
