The course was on the shorter side - less than SO actual ground miles. As with most clubs, land issues are a problem. When the scores were counted, four riders had tied witt"l a score of 16: Jason Chancey. Stephen Edmondson. Russell Bobbitt and Daniel Morrison. When the tie breakers were tallied, it was Edmondson coming out on top, followed by Bobbitt and then Chancey. Mike Melton dropped IB to claim the overall A spot. The first section started off fast but quickly turned tight and nasty. The top riders all dropped two points. Lascassas, Tennessee's Hubert Rowland was able to keep him in sight and placed second on his Honda. Roark put his red machine in third, ahead of Herring. Barbee made it four Hondas in the top five with his fifth. Barbee and Reese came around the first turn ahead of Kendall in moto two. Reese kept his RM in second for half a lap before yielding to Kendall on the hump after the Stairway. Next, Kendall reeled in Barbee and passed him over the triple in the middle of the track. Barbee slipped to sixth when he cross-rutted and went off the track. After placing seventh in moto one, Reese's second-place finish advanced him to fifth overall.
