Michigan's Nico Izzi, who has been dominating everything he has entered in 2004, continued his dominating ways with his perfect score of three wins in both the 85cc (14- 15) and Supermini classes. Ian Trettel scored two wins as well - in the 85cc (12-13) and Junior Mini classes, while Tennessee resident Brent Jernigan was the other standout mini rider, sweeping all six motos in the 65cc ( 10- I I) and 65cc Open classes. While the youngsters stole the show, there was still some excellent racing in the Vet classes. Florida's Earl May and Massachusetts resident Keith Johnson ruled when they were out on the track, each taking a pair of wins, May's win coming in the 35 Plus class, with 1-3-1 finishes, and the 40 Plus class, via 1- I-I scores. Johnson aced all three motos of the 30 Plus class and went 1-1-2 in the 25 Plus class - his only defeat coming at the hands of Tennessee's Jon Boruff. Another winner over the weekend was Kyle Tobin. He had a solid weekend on his WMR-backed Suzukis, topping both the 125cc Open and 250cc B classes Georgia's Jase Lewis was also a double winner, going 1-1-1 in the 125cc Youth class and 1-1-2 in the hotly contested 125cc B class to get the overall. The next round of the Winter Ams will head to its annual, and highly anticipated, stop at the notoriously sandy and rough Dade City Motocross Park, where there will, without a doubt, be some excellent eN racing for everyone.
