250cc and Fou r-Str o ke Expert classes during
the Vintage porti o n of the program.

Mark Sullivan, Andrew 's father, grabbed the
lead a t th e sta rt o f th e first 2S0cc
Exp ert/In te rmed iate -class moto , but his lead
didn't last long; Mark fell and Andr ew assumed
the lea d, whic h he ' d not relin q uish. Andre w
w o n moto tw o , finishing ahea d of Mark, and
won t he overall, his sec ond of the day.
Yamaha ride r Bra d Stagg sco red a win in
the ne wly im plemented 100cc c lass , w hic h
featur ed a field of 15 ride rs . Hodaka jockey
Lyndel Raphael ne tted a win in mota one, but
he co uldn't ho ld off the challenges from Stagg
in m o to two an d Stagg wo n o ve ra ll. Nick

In the fie ld, finishe d th ird, be hind Stagg and

mota two and Thai Anderson (4-2) picked up
third overall, ahead of Shaw n Price (5-3) and
joh n Bod kin.

Don oghue won bo th 12Scc mo tos, ahead of
josh War ring an d C hap man, but he cou ldn't
replicate tha t performance in the Over 40 win.
Nevertheless , Donoghue's 2-2 finishes earned

A full field of ride rs batt led for supremacy in
the 12Scc Vintage Amateur class. Ho nda rider
Brendan Blair easily won mot o one, but he did
have pre ssu re fro m Yama ha YZ r ider Ja ke
Owens in mota two. Regard less, Blair he ld up
u nde r th e press ure t o lead O w e ns ( 2- 2) ,
Brandon But ler (5 -3), Ed Russell (4 -4 ) an d
Rickman Zundapp-mo unted Russell Muncy (3-5)
into the to p five overall.

Brockw ay easily won both Under 40 motos,

class. Price finished second, w ith Landon and
Jay Lael completing the top four.

close to his score , if you are co unting in we e ks.
I got fifth in B Senior with a 449 . It w as brut al.
Th e co urs e fo r t he mo s t par t lo o ke d like
someone took a backh oe and dug a trench fo r
80 miles . You'd be going along, spin ning tires ,
and it wo uld get deeper and you'd find yo urself
doing t he dog-pa ddle, not just to ke e p yo ur
ba lance but actually push ing your bike along ,
plow ing mud. T he re were mo re than a few fun
sp ots, and the club d id an exce llent job . The
funnie st t hing I saw wa s a guy who jum pe d
so me roo ts , got a little squirre lly slid his bike up
,
a slimy tree , and the re it was , hanging ups ide
do wn in the branches, eight feet off the ground
and no way to get it down . It was pretty radical.
There we re lots and lots of crashes - dozens
and do zen s. I saw cr ushed ta nks , broken
handlebars , smoking KTMs, and sections w hich
were mile s an d miles lo ng of not hing but a
tr e nch of oatmeal. It even put Broad Mountain
