Taylor Rei lly got the ope ni ng-moto ho le sho t but , un der Int en se pressure (ro m Grant , he later cras he d back to an even tual 13th-place finish. Grant wo n the moto , ahead o f Muehl berger. Re illy and Muehl berger too k tu rns at the fro nt in moto two. Meanwhile, Grant was charging back from a 10th -place start. By t he final lap , Grant had closed o n Muehlberger, in second. The pair battled to a near-photo-finish, but Muehlberger held his gro und and his 2 ~2 sco re earned t he go ld, over Grant's 1-3 tally. Reilly's 13- 1 finishes were good enough fo r fifth overall. David Johnson kept Bake r ho nest, finishing a close seco nd in all fo ur motos on an LC R Honda, with Yamaha jockey Joe Behe r taki ng t hir d place in bo t h classes.
