In the first rnoto. Leist rode like he had stolen the bike he was riding ! In fact. Leist rode hard from the time the gate dropped until the checkered flew. Leist certainly looked like he had a po int t o prove . Beh ind Leist, Mer rill and KTM ride r Robert Loire we re batt ling for second. When the smoke cleared , Merrill was second and Loire was third . In the se co nd mota, Leist again mo ved to t he fro nt , w it h the same lineup behind him. Leist finished first for first ove ra ll. Me rrill finished se cond for sec ond ove rall. and Loire was third for third overa ll. Chasing Gracyk in the 12s cc A class were Pr o sp ect , Ohio 's Zach Ames and Cortland, Ohio 's Warren Laney. Ames didn't fare as we ll in th e 250cc A class. as second-mote pro ble ms re legated him to sixth overa ll. Tony Rob inson (4-3) was second. Yet anot her District I I speeds ter took the poi nt in two classes . Just in Weeks had a lon g trip from Cincinnati, but he won all fo ur motos in the 8scc ( 12- ls) and Supe rmini classes. Gallo. racing his third class of the day, placed second in the 85cc ( 12- 15) class, w hile District 12 regu lar Kyle D it c he r was runner- up in Su pe r mini action .
