My OWN RACE: 1 Ty Davis 6th DefendingwaRCS Champ TyDavis had a slimchance at the title goinginto the Texasround but had a frustrating day on the fast circuit. "Igot a bad start and worked my way up from 11 th to fifth , and I was slowlycatching up," Davissaid."But then I stalled it, and it knocked the wind out of me. Idropped 30 seconds on them, and the course is so fast that it is reallyhard to make up time. When everyone is goingwide open, you can only go wide open. It didn't seem that fast yesterday. Todaywe were reallygetting with it, and when guys make mistakes or fall down, that's the only way to get around them. But, allin all, it was a good day. Nathan won , and winning the championship was the most important thing for our team ." 3 Russ Pearson 7th Russ Pearson, had a frustrating day. Pearson worked hisway up to third place by midrace but mysteriouslydropped off the pace, ending up in seventh. Pearson admitted to having a "problem" but declined to disclosethe details. "It just wasn't my day," said Pearson. "The WaReS crew put on a good course and Igot to battle with some guys.
