up dead last and put on a charge that had to be seen to
be believed. By lap three, Chisholm was inside the to p
10 and was still hammering the brown dirt .
Meanwhile, T.]. Auten was enjoying a great start and
running inside the top five, until the National boys went
motoring by him.
On lap six. Chisholm blew by Plotts to get into second, but Sipes was long gone and unreachable.
Gracyk also nipped Plotts a few tums from the finish
line to get third . while Auten battled Carsten back and
forth to get fifth.
In the first 12Scc Pro rnoto , Plotts took the holeshot,
with Chisholm tucking in beh ind him. Chamberlain
scooted his Yamaha into third . On lap two. Chisholm
zapped Plotts and set sail, pullinga gap right away.
On lap six. Sipes moved himself into fourth and, within another lap. passed both Plotts and Chamberlain.
Chisholm. however. was already gone and there was no
way Sipes was going to put a dent into their gap.
Gracyk moved up behind Chamberlain, and their battle drew them closer to the front. Gracyk pressured and
passed Chamberlain, but the Canadian passed Gracyk
back. and the order stayed the same to the checkers.
The final order was Chisholm by a mile. Sipes ahea d of
Chambe rlain, Gracyk fo urth and Plotts fifth.
In the second rnoto , Ch isholm lined up all the way to
the inside and pulled the holeshot. He rode with a
vengeance and opened up a big lea d. Losing the overall
to Sipes in the 2SOccclass must have fired him up, as he
was in a class all his own this time .
Sipes. on the ot her hand. fell half a lap into it while
running second to Chisholm .
Gracyk made a bid that saw him run as high as seco nd , but Plotts put it to him. as he passed Gracyk for
seco nd halfway through the race, stay ing there to the
finish. When the checke red flag flew, it was Chisholm
way out in front. followed by Plotts. w ho fended off
Gracyk and Chamberlain.
