Team 2 ride r Scott Pieper finished fifth, 54 seconds behi nd Liddicoat, w ho finished fou rth . The B division featu red a battle be tw ee n two KTM racers, Ryan Beaber and Scott N lcko lf. Be abe r earned the ho le shot , but Nicko li was close behind in seco nd . Nicko li quic kly passe d Beaber for the lead, but they exc hanged the positio n several times. Beaber and Nkkol! w e re neck and neck unti l the last hall-hour of the race , when Nickell pulled Beaber by a minute to win the class . Ro b Hou ts al so ha d an im p re s sive performance. keeping Beabe r and Nicko li in sight for most of the race and finishing third . Adam Greenwood worked his way from a midpack start to co nclude the race in fou rth . Moose ride r Dave Pete rs got the ho leshot in the Over 40 class, wit h Suzuki rider Dan Finne l sec ond . Pet ers, who races a KTM 300. quickly pulled away fro m th e re st of th e field to win by a cons iderable margin. Mark Anschutz, wh o rides a Ho nda 125, also had a great showing: He passed Dan for second and mainta ined t ha t pos ition for the remain der. Finnel 's ma in co mpetito r, tho ugh, was Joe Kuick, who rides a Yamaha 125. Kuick and Finne l swapped pos itions several times , but Finnel he ld off a late charge by Kuick to finish third. Scott Snell got the holes ho t in the A class. Snell held on to the lead until Hon da ride r Chuck Cisle r went by him o n the mot ocross track. O n the ne xt lap, FMF Pipes-spo nso red J.D . Frie be l passed Sne ll to take ove r second place . A little later, Frie bel caught and passed Cisler to take the lead. From the re , Frie bel built a one-minute cushion to defeat Cisler. Abundant sunshine aided the tra ck cre w in its preparat io ns fo r Saturday's practice, and o n Sunday riders we re awa rded double points for the series. While the Mega Series' impressive list of past pro participants include Car michae l. Windham, Stewart , Lusk, Fe rry, Bradshaw and Brow n, this yea r's lineu p has been no less spec tacu lar. Team Gree n's Ryan Sipes too k a quick lead fo llowing a tight start in mo to one of the 2SOc Pro class, with Yamaha's Donnie c Adam s and Hon da pilot Jon Boruff in sec ond and third. Phillip Myers.
