BILLY ATKINSON CALHOUN, GA, AUG. 28 aturday night in Calhoun has become an event when the supercross is running. This past Saturday saw almost 200 make the show, and the stands were full. Kawasaki jockey David Riehl was strong in the first moto but ended up secon d overall after a secon d- mote slip. KTM rider Garrett Sutton handled the final podium position wit h no problem. The ma in story of the night was the overall wi n o f t he Pre tee n 60cc-80cc class by Jonathan Belt, on his fast Yamaha. Belt is a regular of the Moto -Madness Series and has always been a front-runner. Two mota wins got Belt the overall, and th is will not be his last. Donny Brown was good for second overall. and his fellow KTM rider Garrett Sutt on took third overall with a good ride. Michael Briolette showed his talents by winning both 125ccc Beginner motes. Brennan Galloway used his fast Suzuki to score the second podium position. Honda rider Brent Burnette was third overall with two consistent finishes. The I25cc C contest was a good one, also. Yamaha pilot c.J. Pappas had to win the last moto to score the overa ll. and he did so w ith a so lid performance. Honda jockey Jeff Cozine took second overall by being the most steady in both motos. Wesley Delong, on another Honda, managed a top-five finish in the last mota to get on the podium. There were a couple of blasts from the past on this evening. Bilty Eisenacher, a former National Road Racing Champion , can still do the mota thing on his Motions Yamaha He won both : Over 35 mot os.
