Afte r losing to Varnes in the ir heat, Kendig pulled ou t the stops and kep t Varnes at bay. Th e next fou r stayed ve ry close to the end, battling fo r third , but th e orde r stayed the same . Klinefelte r slipped into second on lap four, but Lewis retoo k it the following lap and then put his Schaeffer's H-D/ABBA Systemsspo nsored ride by Mullen off the fourth turn on the sixth lap and held on to the finish. In the 125s, Robinson again took the lead from Shayna, Joe y Parks and Frank Valentin. Shayna and Parks ran close ove r the final laps. Another wi nne r fro m t he last event , Jason Ise nnock, had to work hard for his repeat w in in the 7S0cc A final. In the hea t, wily veteran George Ri chtmeyer use d an unusual (fo r Path Valley) in-high/o ut- Io w line that ca ught so me ride rs 0 (( guard. In the final, Isennock led a tightly bunched group comprised of Richtmeye r, Lewis and Hart out of turn fo ur. Going into one , Richtmeyer tr ied to slide under Isennock, but he was a little too far in front and Richtmeyer slid up the track, causing the oth ers to back off br iefly. Th is let Isennock put a litt le margin on them . Richtmeyer's Yamaha was screaming, but Isen nock kept the marg in constant for th e win, while Lewis' short-fuse Triumph threw its chain again halfway t hro ugh the final. Mike Keane took the point in the Over 40 final. followed by Do hm. jim Cha pma n. Winsett and Mark Stambaugh . Kory Fogarty was on the gas, passing Ryan over the big ta bletop and bringing Colton Camp along with him. Komuda had it flat -out pinned , trying to reel in Cody, while Fogarty and Camp had a great bar-to-bar ba ttle resem bling the Kee ney -vs .- D ieter mo tos. Dana Za m pat o ri, David Phillips Jr.. N ick Haw kins. Matt Zacher and Antonio Ortiz were rac ing ha rd ; both Phillips and Zacher had chances to pass Ryan but cou ldn' t get it d o ne on t his day, Cody claimed the mete-one victory, but Komuda was coming up fast , lead ing Fogarty. Ca mp and Ryan acro ss the line.
