U.S. troops were among the first people to
see the new 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycles at a special unveiling event held for the
San Diego-based troops at the Naval Air Station North Island in Coronado, California.
Harley-Davidson hosted the event to
show support and appreciation for the brave
men and women in uniform , as well as to
celebrate the company's long-standing relationship with the military.

Jim McCaslin and chief styling officer and
vice president Willie G. Davidson, who is
also grandson of one of the original
founders, were both on hand to mingle
with the troops and show their personal
gratit ude . The motor company also
donated a new 2005 Harley-Davidson
Fat Boy motorcycle to the Navy Morale,
Welfare and Recreation Department to
help benefit Navy quality-of-life
programs.
More than 300 military personnel
and family membe rs turned out to witness the unveilingas U.S Naval officers
and Marines helped uncover the new
2005 model s.
The WLA model was the workhorse of military motorcycles
during Wor ld War II. HarleyDavidson produced over 90,000
WLAs for the war eHort.
