Schoen (I- I) took t he w in in the 125cc Pro
class, and james Hamilton (2-DNS) took second .
Corey Bye ( I- I) won the 250cc Inte rmediate
class, James Barret (DNF-2) took seco nd, and
Eric Turner (2-DN5) took third. Joe Mittenberg
(2- 1) rode his KXF250 to the win in the 125cc
Intermediate class, w hile Intermed iate -class
rookie Mitchell Rask ( I-DNF) took second.
Suzuki rider Zack Aguirre was t he ove rall
wi nner in the 125cc Junio r class, fending 0((
advances from Ferzacca to take the overall win
with a 1-2 punch. Ferzacca (3· 1) took runner-up
honors after a poor first mota , and rounding out
t he pod ium was the Be ave r to n Yamaha l
Hindsight MX-backed Cory Hollen (5-3). Taking
fourth was Galbraith (6-5), and fifth went to Kyle
Rheault (4-8).

jo hn Foeckler was the to p ride r in the hotly
contested Over The Hill Intermediate class; he
lost out to Chris Bennett in the first moto but
w o n the second mota for the overall win .
Taking second was Be nnett ( 1-2), and Dale
Neely (4-3) took third-place honors . CRF pilot
Keit h Di Brino (3-4) took fourth, and C hris
Clark (5-5) took fifth.

Brandon Holme s. The two KTM riders went
through the rollers side by side, with Bunkoske
coming out ahead ; Holmes wen t dow n entering
the whoop section. Bunkoske came th rough
clean but had a charging Austin Ham burgur
beh ind him. Holmes remounted in th e ninth
posltlon and had his work cut o ut fo r him .
Holmes' cha rge w as reminisce nt of Bubba
Stewart's come-Irom- behfnd run at Budds
Creek in 2003. Bunkoske gave the lead up to
Hamburgur at the end of the first lap. Holmes
was making some ground o n the leaders but fell
again over the plateau jump. Hamburgur went
unchallenged to the end , capturing the firstmote win, over Bunkoske. Holmes took third
w ith a nice come-f rorn-behlnd ride, and Easton
Crevier had the fourth position sew n up.
Holmes was back in a familiar position at the
start o f t he second moto , as he took the
holeshot and this time led all the way to the
checkers . Hamburgur was running up front, but
A .J. Woller got the jump out of the gate in
/""'\me first Pee Wee Senior moto , with Co lin
Hass fo llow ing. Wolle r, on his ne w Cobra ,
quickly got through the first set of rollers with
ease and started to distance himself from the
pack. Cody Severinsen got a fifth-place start but
was soon worki ng on jacob Vaness and Hass for
the second spot. Seve rinse n go t some good
drive th rough t he uphill w hoop section and
pulled alongside the pair of riders, making the
pass exiting the section. Severinsen the n made
up crucial time by doing the infield double lap
after lap and navigating between traffic to gain
some ground on the others. Woller stayed up
front for the flrst-rncto victory, and Severinsen
finished a distant second. Rounding out the top
five were Hass in third , Vaness in fourth and
Andy Kost in fifth.
Hass pulled the second-mota holeshot and
led t he pack of Pee Wees through the firs t
rhythm section , but Severinsen kept it pinned
thr ough the uphill whoop sec tion, where he
made anothe r pass - but this time it was for the
lead . Severinsen quickly moved o ut in fro nt ,
w hile Wo ller moved pa st Hass for sec o nd .
Severinsen op ted not to do the in field dou ble
as night was falling, but he did do the specta tor
dou ble by the pit area, with ease . Severinsen
got t he overall wi n via his 2-1 score , over
Wo ller's 1· 2 tally. Woller se ttled fo r second

sponso r of the wee kty Friday night races, with
specia l award s and giveaways for t he bulging
Milan Cycle City crowd . Holesho t awards, a
Wheelie King contest and raffles adde d to the
excitement of the popular racing show.
De fend ing 125 cc and 25 0cc Expe r t
champion David Merrill was crowned Wheelie
King after pulling off a crowd-p leasing nO-foot
w hee lie. Runner-up Dusty Simpson made it 900
feet with ease but was fouled up when he hit
some bump s. Merrill was ab le to ma int ain
contr ol over the bumps, showing his excellent
re lationship with his YZ250F. All motos got off
to excellent starts , with everyone racing to get
the holeshot awar ds. A line was drawn in the
san d Just around t he first turn to mark the
winner ; this created much excitemen t, as t he
rewards were HJC helmets. Matt Root ended
up third overall, and after a first-mota crash, he
needed that new helmet.
Harold "The Bee" Good man was a dou bleclass winner, again showing his ve rsati lity in
racing by winning both the 250cc Four-Stroke
Intermediate and Quad Advanced classes. The
Bee has been a fierce competitor at Milan since
he was 4; he is now 25 , but he just keeps
getting faster as time goes by. Goodman won
the overall with a pair of seconds, w inning a
points tie with Nick Pierson , who took a first
and a t hir d. Kyle Miller a bsolutely crushe d
everyone in the second mota on his CRF250R,
but. added to his fourth-place in the first moto,
that put him in t hird overall . jo hn H. Black
checked in at fourth overa ll with a third and a
fourth . The resu lts were an excellent reflection
o f th e racing. with positio ns be ing swa pped
between the top five racers at nearly every turn
and jump. Blac k had particular t ro uble w ith
Simpson, who ended up fifth overall.

Holmes was unmatchable, taking the secondmot a w in and t he overall w ith his 3- 1 tally.

overall with his 5-3 finishes.

was seco nd to Eakin in bo t h cl as se s bu t
definitely made Eakin work for the wins . The
pair was incredible, launching their minicycles
over the new Milan spectator thriller. The huge
dou ble, right in front of the spectato r area , is
on ly cleared by the top Experts on big bikes.
Eakin and McDo na ld could only clear t he
obstacle by taking their 85s to the limit on the
run up to the steep, steep face. Their skill was
on display as the two put in flawless motos on
the one-jump-after-another, supe rcro ss-style
tra ck. The sandy-loam t rack develops as the
night goes on, and only those racers w ho can
adapt are seen in the trophy line .
