Tillery we nt 2- 1 for the overall. The n Smith and Tille ry traded places in the 125cc Intermediate division , wit h Smith taking the top podi um position at the end of the night. The Super mini and Women's classes share d the track, and Kalos stud ents Doug French and Penni Cy r us w on t he ir re spe ct ive cla sses. Fre nch was on one of the new KTM lOSs and showed his rear wheel to all w ho challenged him for t he num ber-o ne position, a nd w ith bac k-to -b ac k w ins , t he ove rall wa s his. Giese r, who is using this serie s to hone his skills during the National OffRo ad Se r ies su mme r b re a k, s howe d t he moto cross riders that he ca n t urn and jump with the best of them . Cyru s put it o n cruise control en ro ute to the to p spot in the Wo men's class, but more impressive was her second-overall finish In the highly competitive 125cc Novice division. Travis Mo nk used his Hond a for a 1-2 finish, w hich gave him first overa ll. Suzuki pilot Cyrus was followed by the much-improved Kawasaki rider Michae l Broo ks, in third. The Arizona "O ld-Timers 'T'Young-Tlme rs" had an excellent turnout for one of their many "gro up ther apy" race s. With 26 riders - plus their budd ies, wives and girlfriend s, all pitted together - it looked mor e like a party than a race . This is one group that has fun no matter where they'r e at, and the y are always looking for new me mbers , so all racers over the age of 30 might wa nt to consider giving them a call.
