spirit to challenge the riding skills
of motorcyclists on the most
demanding mountain passes. This
year, the appeal has reached
motorcyclists from Italy Germany,

As in 2003, the event was open
to all brands of motorcycles, with
two primary participation categories: Competition and Iron Biker. The Competition class is
open to single part icipants or those who are
part of a team of three riders. Dur ing each leg,
participants take part in ability tests and are
awarded points for the ir riding skills and per formance . Throughout the leg, they must also
go through various time checks. The Iron
Biker class is for those riders who prefer a
noncompetitive experience and who wish to
take in the stunning scenery. Expert riders
accompany the group and give advice on
mountain riding. Ducati Motor is the main
sponsor of the event for the second year in a
row, and the subtitle , "Multistrada Challenge,"
celebrates the versatility of Ducan's best selling motorcycle, the Multistrada. The bike is
designed to go anywhere, from tortuous
mountain passes to highways and urban areas .
