way to a perfect score in the Pee Wee Stock (06) class . His flawless performance on Wednesday and then a repeat performance on Friday awarded him the tallest trophy on stage. Texan Parker Fleming and Oregon's Conner Mitchell each claimed a runner-up spot, but Fleming took the official second-place position. Green repeated his performance in the Pee Wee Mod ified (0-6) class , which also started the double-crown column , when he outperformed his competition. This time Conner Mitchell took the runner-up spot with a pair of deuces, while Parker Fleming rounded out the podium in third. Tyler McSwa in came close to matching Villopoto's win record after sweeping the Stock and Modified Pee Wee (7-8) classes, as well as the 6Scc Modified (6-8) class . McSwain went into Sunday 's run -off with a division win in the 65cc Stock (6.8) , but Cooper Webb used his firstplace finish to take the overall, followed by Michael Maze and then McSwain in third . Shawn Rife was the most consistent 65cc (9-11) rider, winning both the Stock and Modified run -offs aboard his Suzukis. Rife also won the 85cc Stock (0-1 I) class , but a secondplace finish in the run -off behind Eli Tomac in the 85cc Modified (0- I I) class awarded Tomac the overall and Rife the runner-up spot. N ico Izzi added to the Suzuki w in column when he aced the 85cc Stock and Modified (12 -13) classes. lui also proved to be a formidable foe in the Supermini class , finishing second overall to Villapo to . In the big-bike classes, Justin Keeney grabbed a handful of throttle to take the overall in the I25cc and 250cc Stock Pro events with four mota wins . Carlos Gonzalez got the best start in the first mota of the 125cc Pro v SU:luki's Nico Ini ca me away w ith a couple of cla ss championships . V V After a perfect day of pract ice Tuesday, heavy rai ns moved in Wednesday morn ing, allowing only 19 motos to leave the gate before the event was shut down for the day. It wasn't until noon the following day that the track crew could push off enoughmud to make the course race- ready. The 24·hour pause caused the event to be extended a day, which became an inconvenience for those who planned to continue on to Tennessee. Th iswasn't the V first time that the Ponca City event has carried over a day. Back in 1995, the event was also held over a day. V The Suzuki camp was thrilled with nine overall wins among the 35 up for grabs, putt ing Am erican Su zu ki back on top after almost a year-long dry spell. Kawasaki was runner-up with eight wins, while KTM claimed seven. Honda and Cob ra both tied at four, while Vamaha had two and Polini V V V one. V V V The third Annual NMA Dog Show, and the only National MX dog show, had the biggest turnout yet, with over 60 entries among the nine offered cate- gories. Fourteen different states carried off National Championships this year, with California leading the charge with eight. North Carolina, Oh io and Washington each won four, and Nevada took in three titles.
