AMA Progressive Insurance U.S. Flat Track Championships
problems dropped Beaulac to a seventhplace finish.
"The race was going well until we
broke, " Beaulac said. "The disk broke, and
I had no brake . It's hard to go like that."
Beaulac's next problem would be
Memphis Shades/Part Unlimited's J.R.
Schnabel, who quietly worked his way up
to a fifth-place finish.
"I ended up sixth or seventh off the
line, not too bad," Schnabel said. "I was

going pretty good , but then I got to racing
back and forth with Beaulac, and we were
slowing each other up, criss -crossing
lines. I saw Chris and Kenny just inching
away. I knew if I could stay close to them,
by lap 15 or 20 I would be able to just go
by them. They got so far ahead that by lap
IS or 20 I was just catching, but that's it. I
closed at the end , but it was too late ."
Twigg Cycles/KK Supply's Paul Lynch
had a solid night as he came home sixth .
"Eve rything went well tonight, " Lynch
said. "This J&M chassis that we're riding
works so well on these kinds of tracks.
It's effortless to ride. I didn't get tired; I
was just sitting back hitt ing my marks,
rolling on the gas as early as possible , and
it was just hooking up. I think I came
from ninth or 10th. I had a second-row
start. I came off the line and just started
hitting my marks. Everything was just
working so well ."
