McFarlane was considered the best rider to come out of Australia since Jeff leisk in the 19805. Unfortunately for him. that was just before fellow Aussie Chad Reed came on the scene as well and stole a bit of his thunder. Known for his massive amount of talent. McFarlane has not reach the heights many had expected (rom him. yet around the Gallarate circuit in Northern Italy. the Aussie finally made his mark on the Grand Prix series. with a win in the MX2 class. '" have been here in Europe for four years. and it has been worth the wait to be one of the best riders to corne (rom Australia and come here and work hard and eventually take a double GP win and the overall win:' he said.
