Yamaha rider Chance Easley was a do uble-mota winner. Easley
had Honda jockey Bill Neary to deal with in bot h motes, but in
the end , Neary was re legated to second overall with a pair of
runner-up finishes. Malt Miller (3-3). Mitchell Molzahn (5-5) and
Jerad Dacus (4-6) rounded out the top five overall.
Currier was equally competent in the Supe rmin i class,
although th is time he had a large group of 125« Junior riders to
deal with . 'Nh ile Currier did maintain the point pos ition from start
to finish, he did have to co nte nd w ith top 12Scc junior jerek
Saucedo in mote one.
Saucedo, however, got arou nd the diminutive spe edster in
mota two to reverse th e finishing order. Both riders, tho ugh,
we re overall winners, as Saucedo wo n the jun ior clas s, and
Cur rier scored the Supennini-class win. Travis Gierke (2-2) and
Jon Varcoe (4-3) fil led out the top three in the 125« d ass, while
Cunrier led Wilson (2-2) and fellow Washingtonian Molzahn (3. 3)
in the Supermini class.
Another of the multit ude of out-of-staters on hand , Devin
Harriman , was among the small group of double -class winners on
the day. The KTM rider from Longview. Washington. walloped the
competition in the 65« (9. 1I) and 65« Op en classes . Fellow
Evergreen State ride r Kyle Ulrich topped the first 65« age-group
co ntes t, but a DNF on Ulrich 's part aided in Har riman's first
overall win. Ulrich had an e qually disappointing time in the 65cc
Open class, and Harriman won both motos. Anthony Romero
(3-3) finished seco nd overall. followed by Brandon Gabbard (5-4).
R.J. Lea ch and Garrett King trai led Harriman In the two metes,
but ne ith e r finished the ir other mota.
KTM-mounted Chris McDaniel was impress ive in a rout of the
125cc Beginner class . McDanie l won both rnotos , leading local
riders Max Jaco bsen and james Larsen, the second- and third place overall finishers, to co ntinue his dominat ion of the class.
