Stevenson went down on lap one. Woods was
never threatened and scored a IS-second win
over Lundy.
Woods, Lundy and Stevenson met again in
the 250cc A class. In race one, Stevenson used
the Inside line to grab the ho leshot on his
CRF4S0R and led Kyle Hoc hstettler's CR2S0.
Woods move d to seco nd through the whoops,
and Lundy swept past Hochstettler for third .
New Jersey Pro Mark Wundrack put his yz in
fourth o n la p three . Stevenson rode
unchallenged to the win. Lundy lost second to
Woods when he ran off the track with only two
turns togo.
Stevenson stayed just ahead o f Lundy 's
C RF2S0R and Woods in mota two. Aga in,
Wundrack ra n alone in fourth . Hochst e ttl e r
batt led with Y
oung for fifth, but Canadian Fred
Ray finished ahead of the duo at the checkers.
With tw o la ps to go, Lundy charged, but
Stevenson claimed the win by a bikelength.
Honda 2S0F riders dominated the 12Scc B
ranks, taking the top three positions overall.
Cole Boutwe ll posted a 20-second win in mota
one. Kawasaki -mounted Matt Peevy finished
ahead o f Rhett Smith and Troy Balst e rs in a
hard-fought battle for second.
Smith and Balsters showed th e way in
mota two , with Boutwell in th ird . Peevy was
left stranded in turn on e with a stalled engi ne .

Devilbiss and Jerem y Thomas completed the
top five . In the final tally, Boutwell ( I-I) was
the clear winner, while Balste rs (4 -2) nipped
Smith (3-3) on a tie breaker.
Lundy also competed in the 2S0cc C class
and tasted victory with a I~ I sweep, over a trio
of veteran racers . In mota one , he scored a 2Ssecond win over Rhett Pe el, Mike Hare and
Dwayne Marks. In race two, he scored a wiret o -w ire w in. Pe e l, Ha re and Marks earned
tr oph ies by repeating their round-one finishes.

In t he Over 30 Beginne r class . Brad "Go
Go" Hu be r absco nded with the holeshot and
too k the win. In the second-mota start, Huber
went wide. Russ Gronin straightened out first
and got the best start. Huber, though , was not
out of it, and he made short work of the front
racers for a I- I tally.
In the Over 45 Beginner class, Ken Atelian
got th e holesh ot, even the against the adjoined
Ove r 38 Beginne r class. Andy Jenkins picked up
the pace and took first for a wh ile, followed
closely by Ty Oshiro, who eventually took the
mota win. Kim "Not Slow" Kinslow pulled the
se co nd -mota holeshot after power-sliding at
the tight, 70-degree turn . O shiro tried to blitz
the whoops but leaned too lar forwa rd and hit
the eject button. Atelian won overall.
The Over 45 Novice class bro ught out
KTM 's Tim Joseph, who had the track wired .
He was elect ric on the dirt and in the air from
start to Onish. jo hn Adams rode strong and
steady for second. Murray Armstrong held on
to third. On the seco nd go-around, Reid Franke
got the holeshot. Bob Breach moved fro m 14th
to third for a podium finish.
In the Over 30 Expert clas s, Kon Ba ur
rounded the first tu rn and pulled away , with
three Pros in tow. Mike Giem worked his way
into first . Giem and Baur traded places again
and then collided . Tom Baker had his hands full
trying to hold off Shane Leyde n, but Leyden
lead the whole pack, with Mark
moved up
Stuen second. In the second mota, Stuen got a
perfect start. Scott McCollough took the mota
win, but Stue n's 1-2 tally captured the overall.
