Then Broc Wright timed the starter's gate perfectly to lead ja cob Williamson_Hayes, justin Soper and Jacob Edison through turn o ne in th e 50 cc (4 -6 ) Shaft class . Williamso n d ived to th e inside of W right in t he swee ping w hoo ps sectio n to grab the lead, and just three tums later Hayes sneaked by Wright as well . Tha t orde r would hold unt il lap three , when Williamson lost his front wheel just be fore the finish line and hit the gr ou nd; he was in third befo re he cou ld ge t re moun te d a nd un der w ay. Wit h an op en trac k a head, Hayes put his head down and went for it, ope ning up a lead he wou ld not re linquish.
