Richard Sainct didn't win the Dakar Rally this year, but the three-time winner
of the event kept it close, battling throughout with eventual winner Nani
Roma. Both men rode factory KTMs, with Sainct's sponsored by Gauloises,
while Roma rode a Repsol-backed machine.
