Com ing off t hat runne r-up finish in th e 125 cc Pro class , St o ne ha d t he mome ntum and a quick trigger finger to nail the holeshot in the 250cc Pro main event. Jake Marsack, Travis Hodges and Woodring followed Sto ne into turn one , but Marsack lost the front end and hit the ground , giving his place in the top five to Maxlmoff. Stone looked smooth and strong all moto long and never looked back en route to a runaway win. In add ition, a brand -new 2005 four-stroke 450 will be given away at the end of the year. The re are classes available for ride rs 28 and older, and skill levels fro m Beginner to Pro . The re are also Support classes ope n to riders of any age and kids' Support classes as we ll. In the 36-42 Pro class , it was Motocross Action's very o wn Willy Musgrave who took cont rol in both mo tes while being chased by Jim He nn (2-2) and Loren Pochirowski (3-3). Ken McCar ry claimed th e checke red flag during moto one of th e Over 43 Beginners, wi t h Bill Rud e ll, Bruce Ann and , St e ve Lawdsde rg and J Eckert in hot pursuit. Antoin Daity finished thir d overa ll, and ~nni\l-=rc:arll Pat Samud io (5-4) traded finishes with Travis Smith (4-5) to take fourth ove rall, leaving Smith in the finaltop-five spot. The 28-35 Beginner class had 14 ride rs on the gate , but the race wo uld come down to a batt le betwee n two of them. Norm Smith improved his game in moto two with a third after finishing sixth in mo to o ne ; he finished th ird ove ra ll. Xavie r Rome ro (5-4) tra ded finishes w ith Michael McAloney (4-5) to take fourth overa ll, bumping McAlone y to fift h overall. Gilro y L. Smith finished third in mota one but drop ped to seventh in mo ta two for sixth overall; he may choose to drop that second-mota score in the points chase at the end of the ser ies, and the rest of the pack can bet he will be back up front in the later rou nds.
